Our environmental commitment
- To consistently deliver tangible biodiversity and environmental enhancements via our operations.
- To build a carbon net zero plan by end of 2024, with actionable, tangible, and achievable targets.
As an environmental business, it is our duty to ensure our operations have a positive impact on the natural environments we operate in, and that we enable our clients to make the best environmental choices possible.
Our approach to sustainability
Our approach is to focus on the areas where we feel we can make a real and tangible difference, moving the sustainability needle for our business and the environments and habitats around us. These areas include, but are not limited to:
Eliminating waste from our operations
- All wood waste created from our operations is recycled into biomass products
- Through 2024 and 2025, we are also exploring a partnership with an innovative renewables start-up to turn all our waste, wood and other, into green hydrogen – turning our waste into a powerful biofuel opportunity.
- This could expedite our net zero plans by 4-5 years.
Embracing renewable energy
- We’re constantly reviewing and implementing ways of improving our green infrastructure, including upgrades to our property, plant and equipment.
- We use our electric chainsaws where possible, and our fleet of vehicles meet current emissions regulations and we’re in the process of replacing many with electric cars.
Biodiversity enhancements
- Our philosophy is to advocate sustainable and habitat enhancing practices to our clients
- Whether recommending a phased and incremental approach to tree management, promoting tree reduction vs. removal, or encouraging re-planting, we constantly strive to enhance the woodland environments we operate in.
